Well, Mike is still alive and kicking, trying to survive the days of endless hours in the dungeon of bacillus subtilis and the neverending trips to interviews in far away lands. Of course, not being in school for the first time in a long time has its benefits, so here's a sampling of the things I do to keep myself from wanting to spend extra hours in lab (that will never happen).
1. 24 Season 6 - still the best show ever. This season has set itself up to be one of the more exciting ones, especially considering that they've already set a nuke off (goodbye magic mountain), and that the main terrorist has FOUR more suitcase nukes!!! Also good is the fact that they have a new hot girl now that Michelle is dead and Kim is gone.
2. Smackdown vs. Raw 2006 - good clean fun when you feel like giving someone the Rock Bottom through the top of a Hell in a Cell (and pretending its my boss!!)
3. Michelle Branch - currently playing in the car I drive to work in, the mp3 player I walk my dog with, and the CD player I fall asleep too. Great music that you can sing along too in any occasion. And she's hot.
Ok, this post was just an excuse to put hot girls on my blog. Keeping with that intention, here's one of the greatest musical performances in history;

Sadness. Such sadness.
I feel like my best friend has moved away to a foreign country. Like my dog just died. Like I needed one more A to get into med school and got a B+. Like I just proposed to Jessica Alba and she said no. Like Jack Bauer just died.
I've had to get over some pretty tough ones over the years, but this one is gonna take some time.
Please only talk to me if you have happy things to say.

Happy 2007!
First of all, here's the greatest video ever;
So 2007 started off with a week off from the heck that is lab to make a triumphant family return to Vegas. We stayed at the now pirate free Treasure Island, which thankfully has a nice bathroom. Everything else was mostly the same as before, but thanks to it being post-holidays, there were fewer people around and thus almost no lines into the buffets. Good stuff. Other highlight includes seeing Celine Dion live, which was pretty cool. Lots of dancing, flying props, and a big screen we couldn't see because our seats were all the way to the left side. Celine is a really good singer live, and you know she was singing live because in the middle of one of the songs she told one of the dancers that he was running the wrong direction. Anyway, the she sang most of the hits, and I nearly got goosebumps when she sang My Heart Will Go On.
Then I came home and woke up with a stomach ache and dazed head and felt exhausted and sick all weekend. And now I'm back to spending half my days with bacteria.
